Sophisticated tailored wool coat with transformative pleat details for added flair.

Materials used: 100% wool, poly-satin, horsehair, and plastic buttons.

The process began with the initial toile for fit adjustments and making sure center back didn’t cause any pulling and tension; Views of pad-stitching on the inner structure of horse hair interfacing; Hand-stitching the back zipper after plotting out the pleat width; Decorative catch-stitch was used for all hemming of the pleats; Zippers on pleat details in pocket and back are fully functional; Shown is inside layers of welt pocket which is inside the coat; Attachment of pockets and lining to coat were also hand sewn.
